 Abstract
The educational linguistic policy is characterized by a pluralist discourse which aims at the teaching and learning of at least three modern languages or rather at the development of partial competencies or skills which can be transferred from one language to another. The present paper focuses on some factors that may lead to the development of educational linguistic policies at a European level, including Romania
