Such programs are often run by NGOs, including youth organizations. At European level, youth organizations have found ways to make their voices heard on education issues. Thus, students have created organizations like the National Union of Students in Europe and the European Union Office of Students Organization, which is the second platform of the national student unions and organizations largest in Europe and is active in general secondary education and in secondary vocational education. These organizations seek to facilitate the exchange of information, experience and knowledge of national organizations of students and play a role in promoting dissemination of discussions on new trends in formal education systems in Europe.
