In this paper, I direct my attention to understanding individuals producing actions, the patterns of which constitute social structure. A new range of fears seems to reign in our society. Modernity has become liquid and uncertainty our daily fear: looking for certain meanings or stable benchmarks, we have found ourselves obsessed with change and flexibility. The cult for ephemera and short term projects encourage competitiveness against solidarity and turn people into hunters, or worse, into hunted beings. Thus, the liquid present is one of frightened individuals often haunted by deep feelings of insecurity.
