This paper subsumes to the methodology and didactics of history of the young pupils. It also emphasizes the characteristics of the so close relationship between History and Geography. After defining the stereotypes and their negative role in pupils' education, the paper insists on the necessity of building up some representations through personal effort, through action (exploration and research). Survey of the historical document and use of the map could be the starting point of this action. The didactic process must be a dynamic one in which the two actors, teacher and pupil, are two authorities joining their efforts and even their roles.
