PID Controller Tuning Using Genetic Algorithms: A Case Study for Various Ranges of Process Model Parameters

 Abstract
For some multivariable processes that have different behaviors for the different input-output channels, it is difficult to use the same controller tuning method. The purpose of this paper is to present the results that can be obtained when the PID controller tuning is done using genetic algorithms, in order to control a second order process for various ranges of model parameters, which gives different behaviors to the process. The performance of the control system is evaluated for different values of genetic algorithm input variables.

 Rezumat
Pentru unele procese multivariabile ce prezintă un comportament diferit pentru fiecare canal intrare-ieşire este dificilă utilizarea aceleaşi metode de acordare a parametrilor regulatorului. Scopul acestei lucrări este să prezinte rezultatele ce pot fi obţinute atunci când se utilizează un regulator PID acordat cu algoritmi genetici pentru reglarea unui proces de ordinul doi pentru diferite valori ale parametrilor de model, ce imprimă un comportament diferit procesului. Performanţele sistemului de reglare sunt evaluate pentru diferite valori ale variabilelor de intrare ale algoritmului genetic.
