 Abstract
This paper presents the results of an analysis regarding the selection of control configurations for each of the three fractionation columns from a gas separation unit. The columns are simulated using a simulator configured with industrial data from a catalytic cracking complex from a refinery. The results obtained from the steady-state simulation are necessary to calculate the relative gain array, the Niederlinski Index or the condition number. Besides these criteria associated with system controllability, some industrial criteria are also used in order to select the best control structure for each fractionation column.

 Rezumat
Lucrarea prezintă rezultatele unui studiu privind alegerea structurilor de reglare pentru fiecare dintre cele trei coloane de fracţionare din cadrul unui sistem de fracţionare gaze. Coloanele sunt simulate utilizând un simulator configurat pe baza unor date experimentale de la un complex de cracare catalitică dintr-o rafinărie. Rezultatele obţinute în urma simulării staţionare sunt necesare în calculul matricei amplificărilor relative, indicelui Niederlinski sau a numărului de condiţionare. Pe lângă aceste criterii asociate controlabilităţii sistemului, în alegerea celei mai bune structuri de reglare pentru fiecare coloană de fracţionare au fost utilizate şi criterii industriale.
