 Abstract
Trying to explore the (im)possibility of gifts and starting from a debate between two great 20-th century French philosophers, Jacques Derrida and Jean-Luc Marion, the article presents the gifts seen from a different perspective but the economic one. The article investigates the mechanisms of gift-giving in "Romeo and Juliet?, through Derrida's readings on gifts and on Shakespeare's play.
