The work exposes some new view points about the origin and the language of the so called "Wallachian? from the Bulgarian Timoc Valley. The work takes into account the language spoken by the neighborhood Wallachians and the topography of the region, emphasizing two important ideas:
a) There is no Wallachian language, it is about a Romanian language, and it has an archaic form and vocabulary of only 400-500 words.
b) The Wallachians from the Bulgarian Timoc Valley are original from Oltenia (especially around Calafat and Segarcea) from where they emigrated 200-300 years ago.
